How to Reset a Hand
The Dealer first plays out each hand.
Cards are added to Hand 1, hitting any total of 16 or less.
Once Hand 1 has 17 or more, Hand 2 and then Hand 3 are played
out the same way.

The Dealer now determines what
Hand(s) pay.
In our example Hand 2 ended up
getting 21.
Players who bet on Hand 2 win. Players betting on Hands 1
and 3 lost.
The Dealer now sweeps the left
most card from each of the three hands.

In our example the 9, 4 and Ace
are discarded.
Now the Dealer looks at each Hand.
If the Hand totals 17 or more, the left most card in that Hand
is removed.

Hand 1 is fine.
Hand 2 totals 17 or more, the left most card must be removed
(the 2 of clubs)
Hand 3 totals 17 or more, the left most card must be removed
(the 2 of spades)

Now the players would bet as
the hands are reset.
Can you figure what the Hand totals would be after the hands are
played out as follows?
